Jesus of Nazareth: His TREATMENT of ROMAN GOVERNORS and MILITARY OFFICIALS.

Jesus of Nazareth. NOT racist, political, culture agenda driven, social agenda activist, religious sect leader, secular nation defender, theocracy promoter, religious hypocrite, religious charismatic Mammon and glory seeker, abettor of lawless rioters and criminal elements, fanatical supporter of total sexual freedom… for the “KINGDOM” he preached is “NOT OF THIS WORLD… NOT FROM HERE” (John 18.36) and NEITHER WAS HE, NOR IS HE!

The case of the Roman centurion whose deathly ill servant Jesus healed. Luke 7:1-10

During the three and half years of Jesus of Nazareth’s ministry, the Roman emperor was Tiberius Julius Caesar (14 to 37 CE), and Pontius Pilate was the 5th Roman governor of Judea (26 to 37 CE).

“In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being the governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee…” John the Baptist came preaching. Luke 3:1-2

What rank did that Gentile Roman soldier have? That of CENTURION, in  command of 100 Roman soldiers.

Did he abuse the Jews? On the contrary! Some elders of the Jews said of him: He is worthyloves our nation, and himself built us a synagogue.”

So then, an informed, wise Gentile soldier, without

racial, cultural prejudices, capable of loving a people different from his own; also, very generous, respectful, and of such spiritual intelligence that HE BELIEVED in Jesus: that he could cure a person even without seeing or touching him! Read about it! Truly, a magnificent MODEL for all military, everywhere.

Jesus’ reaction? “He marvelled at him,” saying: “I have not found such faith, no, not in Israel. He healed the deathly sick servant without seeing or touching him!

Jesus did not reject the centurion because he was Gentile. He does not rebuke, insult, or curse him for exercising power over the Jews. He does not speak vilely of Herod and Tiberius. He does not incite the Jews to attack the Romans. He is the superlative MODEL of citizens of the “KINGDOM that is not of this world.” Worthy to imitate. He does not war against secular nations. For the "KINGDOM" he preaches "is not of this world... is not from here.John 18:36
