In Part 1-C of this Section Two of the Commentary, we compiled a list of earthly, spiritual, and celestial events and manifestations related to the end of the universe and time. Continuing our analysis of the prophecies and visions of Revelation, in Part 1-D, we established that these prophecies are fulfilled specifically during the "LITTLE TIME ”—the period between the end of the Millennium and the end of the material universe.

In this Part 2 of Section 2, we provide detailed explanations regarding each specific event or manifestation.

 

​I. The first event of the “little time.” 
"Satan will be released from his
prison." Revelation 20:7. This pivotal 
event marks the end of the
Millennium and the beginning of
the "little time."

​​

A. When will “Satan be released?” 
It was revealed to the apostle John
that Satan would be released
“when the thousand years are
completed” (Revelation 20:7); that is, at the end of the Millennium. Initially, before the Millennium, Satan was unleashed, deceiving the nations. Subsequently, he was bound for “a thousand years,” during which time he was prevented from deceiving the nations. After this blessed period of religious freedom, “Satan will be released” again.

B. What will Satan do upon being released after the “thousand years”?The Sacred Scriptures provide the definitive answer as given to the apostle John: "He will go out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle." Revelation 20:8.

 

Clearly, Satan's objective is to regain, to the highest degree possible, the control over secular and political authorities that he lost when the angel with the great chain came down from Heaven, bound him, and cast him into the abyss for a thousand years. According to the prophetic projection, Satan will achieve resounding success in realizing his diabolical goal of DECEIVING WORLD LEADERS!

 

That "resounding success" is highlighted in another scene of Revelation, which portrays "the beast... the kings (and princes, presidents, prime ministers, chancellors, governors, and all other secular rulers) of the earth and… their armies" as "gathered to wage war against the one riding the horse, and against his army." Revelation 19:19. "WAR." That is, yielding to burning carnal passions, selfish, delusional agendas, and life and cosmic views of a materialistic, dark, even sinister nature, a vast multitude of deceived humans gather in aggressive, even physical violence against Christ and his spiritual armies.

C. How does Satan manage to
deceive the rulers of all the earth?
In the vision of Revelation 20:1-9,
specific details about the powers,
stratagems, and chicaneries that
Satan employs on many levels are
not explicitly revealed. However, in
Revelation 16:13-16, a parallel
passage, we find an intriguing
explanation. Here, the apostle John
writes: "And I saw coming out of
the MOUTH of the DRAGON, and
out of the MOUTH of the BEAST,
and out of the MOUTH of the FALSE PROPHET, THREE UNCLEAN SPIRITS, as it were FROGS: for they are SPIRITS of DEMONS, working SIGNS; which go forth unto the kings of the WHOLE WORLD, to gather them together unto the WAR of the great day of God, the Almighty."​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

 

1. The parallelism, or similarity, between Revelation 16:13-16 and Revelation 20:1-9 is evident when comparing 16:14 with 20:8. We observe that in both verses, malevolent agents assault all the RULERS of the nations of the "WHOLE WORLD" with the explicit purpose of deceiving them and inciting them to fight against God and his followers. Consider the following two texts:

Revelation 16:14. The THREE UNCLEAN SPIRITS, as it were FROGS: for they are SPIRITS of DEMONS, working SIGNS; which go forth unto the KINGS of the WHOLE WORLD, to gather them together unto the WAR of the great day of God, the Almighty."

​

 

 

Revelation 20:8. Satan, once released after the thousand years in the abyss, “shall come forth to DECEIVE the NATIONS which are in the FOUR CORNERS of the EARTH, GOG and MAGOG, to gather them together to the WAR: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”

 

​​2. Since Revelation 16:13-16 explains HOW Satan will deceive the RULERS of the nations during the “little time,” let us analyze the text in greater detail. 

​​​

a) The "DRAGON" is Satan. He is “the great dragon... the
old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan.” 
Revelation 12:9; 20:2

​​

b) The "BEAST" represents political-secular power in its
various manifestations throughout history, allied with Satan.

c) The "FALSE PROPHET" symbolizes all false religions.
Particularly during the Common Era, the "false prophet"
is identified with the "GREAT HARLOT" of Revelation 17,
and the second beast of Revelation 13. Indeed, he figures as
one of the three apocalyptic symbolic representations of
apostate Christianity. [For the interpretation of the "great

       this Commentary.

              d) The "three unclean spirits" are "spirits of demons."

​

      (1) Following the lead of their supreme commander,
        Satan, in his roles as “the old serpent,”  “the great
      dragon,” these "three spirits" take the form of "frogs," cold-blooded
      creatures that typically inhabit dark, swampy places.

​

By inference, we understand that God views these unclean spirits as “frogs.” The mature Christian who understands this symbolism and masters these topics shares his Heavenly Father's perspective. He perceives the "spirits of demons"—whether they be false teachers, prophets, apostles, advisors, or philosophers—in the same light. That is, as loathsome as the serpent, as dangerous as the "great dragon," and as repugnant as a muddy, cold frog!

​

( 2) The diabolical purpose and exceedingly wicked nature of these "three unclean spirits" are defined by the following inspired words: "They go to the kings of the earth in the whole world... to assemble them for the battle of that great day." They go out "to deceive the nations."

​

How do these deceptive spirits manage to infiltrate the chambers of power and conference rooms of the world's leaders, where they are heard attentively due to, supposedly, their impressive credentials? Reflecting on the fact that the "three unclean spirits" are described as emerging "out of the MOUTH" of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet, we find an important clue. 

​

“…out of the MOUTH.”  What proceeds, naturally, “out of the mouth”? WORDS! And, particularly, in the case of politicians, elected officials, counselors, political theorists, philosophers, commentators, speech writers, etc., it is usually a notable abundance of WORDS! Torrents of WORDS! Downpours and rivers of WORDS!

​

Following this clue, we conceptualize these "FROGS" as agents highly skilled in the shrewd and effective use of various forms of communication. They promote agendas aligned with Satan's vision for the nations while incessantly and convincingly claiming to seek the common good.

​

Personally, I envision them as men and women acting out the roles of respected and highly influential ADVISORS.

​

They advise representatives, senators, judges, ministerial aides, administrative officials, presidents, chancellors, prime ministers, princes, kings, and even dictators.

​​

They advise officials and employees of educational institutions, social organizations, corporations, unions, and more.

​​

They present themselves as “experts” in all kinds of international affairs.

​​

They provide information—crafted according to their specific agendas—to editorialists, renowned commentators, talk show hosts, writers, and other media figures.  

​

​​Through their polished, persuasive, and convincing words (the words that proceed "from the mouth"), they win the trust of those in power. They influence them so deeply that they become the true architects of policy, legislation, and socio-moral direction. In effect, they constitute the power behind the throne, the presidency, the ministry, the departments, and the committees.

​

Possessing the nature and mentality of "unclean spirits," synonymous with "spirits of demons," clearly, they are not human beings with Christian ideals.

​

Rather, the image we are forming is one of professionals who are "corrupt" in mind and spirit; highly intelligent men and women with advanced academic training and elite communication skills, whose vision for humanity has no place for the God of the Bible.

​

Humanists, hedonists, and atheistic libertines who offer a constant stream of advice regarding new paradigms for the behavior and organization of the human race.

​

Naturally, God, the Bible, and the Church have no place in their counsel. Gradually or abruptly, they succeed in turning rulers against the true God, His Word, and His People.

​

By way of example, even in our own time (the first half of the 21st century), a period still enjoying the precious freedom of worship, many nations have already seen numerous men and women rise to positions of power and influence who openly favor and advocate for: abortion, sex education for young children, new models for modern families, legal rights for minors that exempt them from the moral supervision of their parents, and the elimination of all religious activity in workplaces, schools, and elsewhere. Let us consider this significant phenomenon more closely.

Abortion

​

Below, we identify just a few of the chilling consequences of abortion when practiced commonly on a massive scale.

​

“According to the WHO (World Health Organization), it is estimated that there are between forty and fifty million (40,000,000 to 50,000,000) abortions worldwide each year. This is approximately 125,000 abortions per day.

​

“In the U.S., where nearly half of pregnancies are unintended, and four in ten of these are ended by abortion, 3,000 abortions are performed daily. 22% of all pregnancies in the U.S. (excluding natural miscarriages) end in abortion.”

​

As of October 27, 2020, at 7:44 p.m., the estimated number of abortions performed worldwide for the year was 35,070,044. www.worldometers.info/abortions/

​

If we multiply by five or more the number of mothers, fathers, relatives, friends, doctors, nurses, medical professionals, and politicians who become accomplices in the crime of each abortion performed, the result is more than 225,000,000 people each year!

​

Add to this the rampant and vile contempt for human life, which greatly contributes to the development of insensitive, cold, irresponsible, selfish, and cruel human beings—individuals capable of hating, seeking revenge, persecuting, and killing, or consenting to such acts. Ultimately, these are countless human beings who lend themselves to the purposes of Satan, for how easy it is for the devil to deceive people with such a mentality!

Global abortion statistics.

​

In 56 countries (representing 65% of the world's population), abortion is legal.

​

In 95 countries (representing 39% of the world's population), abortion is illegal.

​

The Landmark Case of “Roe v. Wade”

​

“In the summer of 1969, Norma McCorvey became pregnant while her marriage was falling apart. She was 21 years old and living in Dallas, where abortion was illegal, as it was in almost the entire United States. At that time, she could not find a doctor willing to terminate the pregnancy. Instead, she met two persistent young lawyers, Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee, who used the pseudonym Jane Roe to represent her in a lawsuit against Texas for denying her the right to end her pregnancy.

​

“Thus began the history of the case that would not only legalize abortion but also revolutionize political parties and the nature of politics in the United States. It was titled “Roe v. Wade,” the second name being that of Henry Wade, then the District Attorney of Dallas County. Yesterday (January 22, 2003) marked 30 years since the Supreme Court ruled on the case. At that time, it was ruled that a woman has constitutional protection to decide privately, without state interference, whether to continue or terminate her pregnancy.

“Because the final ruling in Norma McCorvey's case took time to be handed down, she gave birth to the child. Furthermore, she later regretted her lawsuit and became an anti-abortion activist.”

Sex Education for Young Children 

​

This type of sex education for children aged four to ten tends to pervert their young hearts and minds. They are taught not only the biological mechanics of sexual intimacy between a man and a woman but are also instructed on masturbation, homosexuality, and lesbianism.

​

New Models for Modern Families 

​

The malevolent advisor argues: 

​

"The traditional family is obsolete. We must recognize and support other family types formed by the modern lifestyles of free people: for example, the single-parent family, families with perennially absent parents, cohabiting unmarried parents, or families composed of homosexuals or lesbians with adopted children".

​

In New York City, Joseph Fernandez, former Chancellor of the Board of Education, approved an illustrated curriculum for kindergarten classes that taught homosexuality as an acceptable "lifestyle" and presented "homes with two male parents who sleep together" as "normal."

​

Legal Rights for Minor Children 

​

According to this social paradigm, "the minor child is a human being with independent social and legal rights that are not subject to the will of their parents." If a child disagrees with the household rules set by their parents, they can refuse to comply!

​

“They claim the right to report parents in court if they are physically disciplined, prohibited from attending parties or nightclubs, kept from heavy metal or rap concerts, or denied access to sadistic pornographic content."

​

While such rights are intended to restrain violent and abusive parents, they undeniably undermine the authority and healthy supervision provided by good parents.

​

The United Nations Agencies for Family and Human Rights have already formulated and issued documents on "the legal rights of minor children,” which many governments worldwide have endorsed.

​

Elimination of all religious activity from schools, workplaces, courtrooms, and government offices. For example:

​

1. Prayers in classrooms or at sporting events.

​

2. Distributing religious literature or evangelizing.

​

3. Mentioning God, any "deity," church, or religion in the workplace.

​

4. Placing religious pictures or plaques on desks or office walls.

​

Conclusion. If it is proven that influential professionals today are so lacking in moral principles, common sense, and natural wisdom, how much more will they proliferate during the "little time" when the “three unclean spirits like frogs” succeed in deceiving the world's powerful leaders!

Continuing the analysis of Revelation 16:13-16.

​

e)  The “three spirits like frogs” perform "signs" to deceive the rulers of the earth.

​

(1)  In ancient times, many rulers consulted "wise men," magicians, or sorcerers. This custom is evident in these three biblical cases: 

​

(a)  Pharaoh of Egypt (Exodus 7:8-12; 8:1-15).

(b)  King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (Daniel 2:1-2).

(c)  Sergius Paulus, Roman proconsul (Acts 13:4-12). 

​

(2)  Regarding our present time: 

​

(a)  It is well known that even among modern rulers, there are those who consult seers, follow zodiac signs, and heed omens. By cunningly employing their deceptive “signals,” evil spirits easily mislead individuals with such weak, superstitious mentalities.

​

(b)  Furthermore, many current world rulers prove to be extremely materialistic, sensual, and opportunistic, lacking even a hint of genuine faith despite their religious pretensions. A mind immersed in worldliness is already conditioned to receive, with little resistance, the influence of the "three unclean spirits like frogs.".

(c)  If there are numerous political leaders of this type today, despite the mechanisms available to restrain or remove them, how many more will there be during the "little time"!

(3) What kind of "signs" are projected for the “little time”? We consider several possibilities: 

​

(a)  "Apparitions" of the dead (further appearances of Mary, popes, or Roman Catholic saints; or appearances of charismatic, deified figures such as Elvis Presley).

​

(b)  The fulfillment of divinations regarding the decisions or actions of powerful or famous people.

​

(c)  The fulfillment of predictions concerning earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, drastic climate changes, or other natural disasters.

​

(d)  Astonishing creations or "healings" achieved through genetic manipulation or advanced technologies. 

​

D.  How difficult is it to "deceive the nations" (Revelation 20:8)? 

​

1.   Several examples from the 20th and 21st centuries demonstrate how easy it is to deceive entire nations.

​

a)  In the 1930s, the Nazis in Germany, supported by their fascist allies in Italy, embraced poisonous ideologies—most notably the "superiority of the Nordic race"—deceiving themselves and the majority of their nation, particularly the youth. Their madness sparked World War II, resulting in a horrific toll of fifty milliondeaths, including six million Jews, hundreds of thousands of whom were incinerated in concentration camp ovens.

b)  During the 20th century, numerous countries—notably the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Cuba—submitted to communist doctrine.

​

According to the founders of modern communism, God does not exist; therefore, all religions are considered deceptive and have no right to exist.

​

Utterly deceived, Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse-tung, aided by hundreds of thousands of sympathizers, sought to eradicate all religion from the face of the earth, along with anyone who opposed their vision for humanity.

​

As a result of this terrible deception, millions of human beings perished in wars, forced labor camps, and famines, or were executed by the agents of these deceived governments. 

​

Joseph Stalin

​

Joseph Stalin was the supreme leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) from 1929 to 1953. He governed through terror, torture, and the execution of perceived enemies, utilizing genocide, mass exterminations of dissenting groups, and concentration camps. Despite his soulless cruelty, the USSR became a major world power, though it lasted only until 1989.

c)  Ethiopia and Sudan. During the 20th century, hundreds of thousands died in these African nations due to the brutal oppression of communist political elements, rebellions, reprisals, civil wars, and the resulting famines and plagues.

​

d)  Rwanda. In April 1994, shortly after peace negotiations with the RPF (favoring Tutsi interests) concluded, President Habyarimana and Burundi's President Cyprien Ntaryamira died in a mysterious plane crash. This triggered a wave of ethnic violence. UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali accused the Rwandan Army of genocide against the Tutsi people. e)  Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. For decades, these Muslim nations have been convulsed and tormented by evil forces in power, whether of a secular nature or from ultra-conservative and militant clergy. 

​

2.  We have presented only a few examples among many. Clearly, the forces of evil face few obstacles in their hellish attempt to corrupt political leaders. Using philosophies, theories, and economic incentives, they persuade and convince, ensuring that in many cases, evil triumphs over good.

​

If it is so easy to deceive nations in this age of democratic powers and international organizations like the United Nations—which strive for peace, government integrity, and human rights—how much more so during the future "little time," when atheism, materialism, sensualism, and superstition will be even more prevalent!
